Project Description
The Platform weighing 260-tonne was built by Hazcon Nigeria Limited in 6months for Addax Petroleum Nigeria Limited at Intels yard; Calabar Port. The platform meets international standard and would be producing from 12 wells with an output of 30,000 barrels per day (bpd).
The project scope which encompassed from procurement, fabrication and integration of topside structures and associated piping and pipe supports, installation of topside launcher deck, main deck, and the valve access deck.
The above project was done in line with the Federal Government’s policy through the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) in the development of local content capacity and Addax policy of “Let’s grow with Addax.”
This work is another clear demonstration of how indigenous company (Hazcon Nigeria Limited) has invested significantly in greater capability and capacity in recent years in response to the Federal Government’s policy on Nigeria Content Development.
Weld quality and coatings were especially crucial and were subject to rigorous testing.
